Mendini DR

Mendini DR and Big Boy Z competed in the CSI 2* this past week at The Hampton Classic. Big Boy Z was clear and fast, earning 10th in the $39,000 CSI 2* 1.45m speed class on Saturday. 
Mendini DR jumped double clear to 6th place in the $78,500 CSI 2* Grand Prix. 


Manchester jumped solid rounds in the 5* speed classes. 

We had a lovely time at this beautiful venue and hope to return next year! 



 

THE HAMPTON CLASSIC 2023


COR Equestrian is based in Upperville, Virginia during the summer months and Wellington, Florida in the winter. 


Our farm in Upperville is located just one hour outside of Washington D.C. and 40 minutes from Dulles International Airport. We are situated on 300 acres and the farm includes a 17 stall barn, an arena with GGT footing, 2 polo fields, and several large turn out paddocks.

Facilities

With over 15 years of experience training horses and riders in North America, Conor O'Regan has successfully guided students to several regional and national championships. At CO'R Equestrian, riders have been able to develop skills to move up through the levels and reach the top of the sport. One of Conor’s strengths is matching the right horse and rider to create a successful relationship in the ring.

Coaching

      Conor grew up riding in Ireland as a child, starting in the pony divisions and working his way up through the levels with great success. He started competing internationally at a young age and went on to ride in the junior European Championships and the World Young Horse Championships. 
        After getting his college degree, Conor moved to the United States in 2008 and began riding for the Firestone Family in Upperville, Virginia. After several successful years working for the Firestones and laying down roots in Upperville, Conor opened CO'R Equestrian in 2015. 


      Throughout his career, Conor has proven his skills in riding, training, and developing both horse and rider to reach their highest potentials. Conor has multiple international Grand Prix wins across North America, including the Winter Equestrian Festival, Kentucky Show Series, Traverse City Horse shows, Princeton Show Jumping and Upperville Colt & Horse Show.

It was a week to remember for CO'R Equestrian at Traverse City Horse Shows this week. 

Mendini DR started the week with a win in the CSI 3* $38,700 Welcome Stake out of a competitive field of horses. 

Just a few days later, Big Boy Z won the $30,000 Traverse City National Grand Prix. With this being his fourth Grand Prix ever, the future looks bright for this upcoming star. 

BACK TO BACK WINS IN TRAVERSE CITY, MICHIGAN

Wrapping up a great two weeks showing at the Kentucky Spring Horse Shows, we reflect on some great results. 

Manchester was in top form the first week here, taking the win in the $40,000 Commonwealth Grand Prix. 

The second week, Big Boy Z also jumped double clear in his first Grand Prix ever, finishing 5th in a very fast field of horses.

Conor has years of experience developing horses from a young age to the Grand Prix level. With a special eye for picking young talent, Conor has been able find prospects and develop them into top sport horses. He found two of his current mounts, Mendini DR and Big Boy Z, as young horses and they are now jumping at an international level. 

The training program is tailored to the needs of each horse by building a strong relationship and creating a system to provide them the best opportunity to succeed. Conor believes the key to proper development is patience and dedicating time and effort everyday will lead to long term success.
